Tez Sherard

Tez was born and raised in small town of Anderson also nationally known as the Electric City, located in the upstate of South Carolina which is a well diverse hub in addition the home base for many national artists. His musical roots steamed from Gospel, Soul, and Blues. His greatest inspiration was his father, the late well know musician, Bernard Sherard. Stemming from this inspiration, Big Tez was given his first regional opportunity with The Still Cruzin Band. This opportunity lead to the backing of countless artists and entertainers such as The Drifters, New Orleans Legend, Clarence Frogman Henry, The Crystals, Percy Sledge and Mr.Tighten Up himself Archie Bell and the Drells .

Tez received an invitation from the platinum Grammy award winning artist, Edwin McCain, to become his permanent first call drummer and background vocalist. this invitation opened substantial doors to perform with quite a number of music ions including: Everclear, Styx, Sister Hazel, Darius Rucker, and numerous others. Big Tez has performed and toured through 14 different countries, which includes 2 USO and MWR international tours. When he is not on the road, Big Tez can be seen performing with his 6 major local and region projects such as Gypsy Soul, Groove Planet, The Jamie Wright band, CSP, Zataban and now “Mac Aronld and Plate full of Blues. Gypsy Soul will cure your jam band itch. Groove Planet will fill your need for any top 40 and old school R&B tunes. The Jamie Wright Band bring’s the soul of new school with an old school flare, CSP will have you rocking out all night with a funk you’ll never forget. Mac Arnold will have you singing the blues all night long and Zataban is for those people who enjoy a great night of New Orleans style funk, Chicago Blues and Soul music.

Behind his unforgettable eye catching smile, sometimes referred to nationally as The Zamboni, Big Tez Sherard is not only a funky drummer and soulful vocalist but, also an amazing showman and must see entertainer.
