"I didn’t start writing songs and playing music till…actually a couple of years after college……I later started playing open mic-nites at coffee houses in Columbia and Greenville. My encouragement for playing music out to the public came from the suggestion from longtime friend of mine Edwin McCain (for who I am tremendously grateful for his help and guidance and free tabs). While living in Charleston I usually removed his guitar out the case and begin playing it without asking or without a care…I later understood this to be not very much appreciated….(and yet I still do it this day.) So, one day he walks in with a cheap $100 dollar guitar and said, “you can pay me back later and....good luck with that “.....This motivated me down to experiment and write my own songs down the long road of where I am today.....I play on average close to 50-70 shows, gigs and charitable events a year in Greenville and Charleston, SC. I do my best to present a combination of original songs and cover songs that I try and re-deliver from my interpretation of them. My musical influence and inspiration range of artists such as James and Ben Taylor, Ben Harper to friends Edwin McCain and Mark Rap. My song-writing draws from the hearts of my children to the inspiration and support from my friends. I’ve had the privilege of recording with both Sit-Spin and Whitestone Studios in Greenville and just completed a six song EP released independently in Fall of 2010."
