Arelis Silva was born in Rio Piedras, Puerto Rico, but was raised in Homestead, Florida. Growing up and spending time in the kitchen with her father has always given her inspiration and a feeling of “home”. Since taking her first home economics class in middle school she knew her path in life. She pursued her passion and attended Johnson and Wales University in North Miami Beach.
Arelis has worked as a Pastry Cook at Sonesta Hotels and Canyon Ranch Resort. She moved to Greenville 5 years ago and has worked at some local bakeries and Furman University before becoming Roost’s Pastry Chef. She loves making her ever changing Mountain High Cakes and Famous Flans.
She enjoys spending her free time with her husband Troy and their Chihuahua, Macu. They love to cook together and make a great Culinary Team!
